FAQs
The Ice Pod
How much ice do i need to add
We recommend adding 10-20lbs of ice to the Ice Pod per session depending on the initial water temperature. The amount of ice needed highly depends on your tap water temperature, the climate you live in, and how cold you desire it to be. If you live in colder climates, adding ice may not even be needed.
We also offer our XXL Ice Block which makes huge 3lb. ice blocks in your home freezer that will last significantly longer than regular cubed ice.
Since the pod is insulated it will keep the water cold for longer, and you may therefore not have to add as much ice after the first time.

The Water Chiller
Is the chiller compatible with my current Ice Bath?
Yes. The chiller can easily be used with your current IcePod or even any form of other ice bath.
Connect to your existing IcePod (1 drain valve): You simply connect the hose entering the water filter side of the chiller, to the drain valve on your IcePod. And the second hose coming from the chiller outlet, goes into the IcePod over the top ring/edge.
Connect to any other Ice Bath:
You can also connect the chiller to any ice bath, bathtub, bucket - you name it. The chiller comes with pump and filter, so you simply put both hoses from the chiller into any body of water to start cooling it. If your tub doesn't have a bottom valve to connect it to, you will need to siphon water into the inlet hose to start the circulation, please refer to youtube on how to siphon - this is necessary as the pump can not start the circulation of water if there are air in the hoses.
How cold can it make my water?
The Standard chiller can cool up to 130 gal. of water down to 41°F (5°C) in climates with temperatures below 85°F (30°C).
The Pro Chiller can cool up to 130 gal. of water down to 39°F (3°C) in climates with temperatures above 85°F (30°C)
Is the chiller gonna run up my electricity bill?
No! The Power usage is only 280 watt, which is comparable to the freezer/fridge in your home.
Example of power usage: at 77°F (25°C) room temperature, and chiller temperature set at 46°F (8°C) will consume around 1.4-1.8 kWh per day (every 24 hours). With todays average kWh in the USA that equals to just around $0.8 per day in electricity cost to run the Chiller 24/7. (These are estimates and can vary depending on the climate and temperatures where you live).
Does the chiller come with a filter to keep the water clean?
Yes, our Water Chiller has a 20 micron filter with 24/7 water circulation which filters out hair, skin cells, leaves, sand and other debris. Enjoy a clean and clear ice bath at all times, ready for you when you are.
To maintain clean water for extended periods, we highly recommend adding a few drops of hydrogen peroxide to your water once a week.
This will allow you to keep the water in the pod for multiple weeks to months without algae, bacteria, scum and odors developing.

The Steam Sauna Pod
How long does it take to setup?
The Home Steam Sauna is simple and easy to set up. The initial setup should take no longer than ten minutes.
I am over 6' tall, will I fit?
The Home Steam Sauna has been designed to fit heights up to 5’9” standing, and all heights sitting, using the included chair we provide.
Regardless of your height, we suggest sitting as that has been the most comfortable fit for our users.
How hot does it get?
The Home Steam Sauna Pod has a maximum heat index of 185°. This is a steam sauna so the near 100% humidity keeps your sweat from evaporating.
The condensed area of the sauna also helps to increase the level of heat. You can adjust heat level and duration settings directly on the SmartSteam unit and by remote control.
Can I use this indoors and outdoors?
The Home Steam Sauna can be used both indoors and outdoors. If you leave it outdoors, we recommend having an appropriate cover such as a canopy, balcony, tarp, etc.
The Home Steam Sauna is NOT weatherproof. Leaving it outside for a long period of time will cause exterior cosmetic damage.
How do I clean it?
The inside of the heat insulated cover is designed to help prevent mold and bacteria build up.
After use, we recommend leaving the door flap open to air out and wiping down the water vapor on the inside walls.
